Deadline for Entries is January 10, 2024

1. Nomination fee: $100 Per Head, (Credited towards Sale Commission) Must accompany entry. Scratched Lots will forfeit the Nomination Fee. Sale commission at or near 15%

 

2. Nomination fee will cover stall fee, bedding, transfer, vet and check off fees.

 

3. In case of excess numbers, the Ohio Angus Association reserves the right to have the sale committee review entries and screen if necessary. Preference will be given to older cattle, in-state and past consignors.

 

4. Substitute lots are allowed. Prior notice is required.

 

5. All entries must participate in the parade for buyer review on Friday. Cattle will be paraded youngest to oldest in Cooper Arena. Grooming is not necessary for the parade.

 

6. Membership in the Ohio Angus Association is required, and current year dues must accompany entry if not already paid.

 

7. Bulls born January 1, 2021 - March 1, 2023 are eligible. All bulls must pass Breeding Soundness Exam (BSE) within in 30 days of the sale.

 

8. Females born after January 1, 2019 are eligible. Embryo transplants/recipients, and pregnancies are eligible.

 

9. Entries are limited to 5 bulls per consignor. Out of state members are limited to 4 head, no more than 2 Bulls.

 

10. Sale order to be determined by sale committee. All entries will sell as individual lots - No groups or buyer’s choice.

 

11. Entries may also include the following: typed footnote support info for catalog (email or file upload preferred), Sale lot pictures and support Sire/Dam photos if desired - Only digital pictures will be accepted, via email. Sale Lot Picture deadline is January 31st!

 

12. All Expo cattle consigned to breed sales will be required to have 840 RFID tags in their ears prior to arrival at the Ohio Beef Expo. Plan ahead, registered for your premise ID and order your 840 RFID tags early!

 

13. All female lots must have EPD’s for at least: CED, BW, WW, YW, Milk, CWT, Marb, REA, Fat, $W & $B to be consigned or show proof that a DNA has been submitted and ordered by the consignment deadline.

 

14. All Bulls must be DNA tested by the consignment deadline and rank in the top 50% of the breed or higher for at least 3 of the following EPD’s: CED, BW, WW, YW, Marb & REA.

15. OCA Membership is required for all consignors in the Ohio Beef Expo. If not paid by March 16th, a $40 late fee in addition to dues will be assessed to participate in Expo. Please pay OCA directly at:
