Honorary Memberships are a recognition reserved for those who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the Angus breed, and the Ohio Angus Association is proud to extend an honorary membership to Jim Rentz. This recognition honors Jim’s lifetime of service to Angus cattle and to the people behind the breed. Through Creek Side Farm, he helped build a respected program known for quality cattle. Beyond the pasture, Jim’s impact reached across the state and the nation through his leadership as a past president and longtime board member of the Ohio Angus Association, two terms on the American Angus Association board of directors, and 14 years as an Angus Journal fieldman serving breeders throughout the Midwest. He later founded Rentz Auction Co., helping market Angus cattle across the United States and Canada, and he played a foundational role in Ohio’s beef industry as a co-founder of the Ohio Beef Expo, serving as chairman and manager during its first five years. Through his cattle, his leadership, and his storytelling in 50+ Years of Angus Trails and Tales, Jim Rentz has helped shape the Angus breed in Ohio for generations. Please join us in congratulating Jim Rentz on this well-deserved honorary membership.
